KHYAAL (mood-board):
Dhanlakshmi - The Goddess of Wealth is most awaited by everyone. But what is Dhan? Is it just monetary gain? Or we do not understand the true Wealth & meaning of DhanLakshmi. Health, Happiness, Contentment, Compassion, Calmness, Consciousness are the real attributes of Wealth that help in building a society of Dhan Lakshmi. True, every society needs money, but Dhan Lakshmi brings with her the attributes that let us understand the Art of Living, not just the Science of Earning.
POSHAAK (about the saree):
Steel Grey Handloom Chanderi Saree with one of a kind Palla composition borrowed from Rajasthan Mural Art of squares with Flower Vase and Fruit Bowl paintings. This is a unique composition made by Meiraas using 3-4 blocks. The Floral motifs used here date possibly 200 plus years back and are meant for Block Printing only, they are now being re-purposed for Chikankari by the unit with which Meiraas works. This also indicates an existence of alternate craft field in Lucknow's past. The whole saree has antique diagonal bel of floral creepers using Phanda stitch extensively. The lovely saree is finished with Silver Gota Lace to complete the look.
