UMRAO is the signature Mukaish collection from Meiraas. As a craft, Mukaish has many connoisseurs even today, however Mukaish is largely now seen as a “bling add” to Chikankari garments. This is a brilliant stand alone craft that symbolises the “nazakat” and “nafast” of yesteryears’ Lucknow. It involves very skilled craftsmanship at many levels to reach the final, sustainable stage. In 2018, we launched a select Capsule Collection of Mukaish Karigari under UMRAO, for the authentic craft lovers of Heritage Silouhettes.
