Mahi (Fish) and Mehraab (the Archway) are the unique leitmotifs of Awadh’s history over ages. Both symbols represent cultural legacy & auspicious symbolism associated with the grandeur of Awadh courts since the Golden Age of Saket aka Ayodhya. We have merged them in this stellar dress created using very fine embroidery techniques

POSHAAK (about the dress):

The Mahi Mehraab dress has been embroidered painstakingly with very fine Murri or Rice Grain stitch detailing on each Kali panel, making it an outstanding and exclusive Kalidar dress. Each panel on the front ends with the Mehraab (archway) housing a Mahi (Fish). The bust and sleeves have been detailed with very fine Hool (eyelet hand cutwork) and Kangan stitch. the same forms the embroidery on the back of the dress, along with one statement motif of Mahi Mehraab.

The dress has pocket detailing.

The bust portion of the dress alone is lined with soft cotton lining, and rest of the dress has been left sheer, to keep the structure & design fluid.
