This saree is Made on Order.
A saree meant for those envied wardrobes, that collect the best and rarest of designs. Parinaya is love embroidered on Gold! It is for connoisseurs who are building their own legacy of Handcrafted Heritage.
THE SUSTAINABILITY QUOTIENT (TSQ):-
KHAYAAL (Mood-board):
The Khayal or Aatmamanthan behind keeping this collection under the name Dhanlakshmi was very clear. We wanted to make a repository of Heirloom Sarees, where we can create colours and palettes that signify the opulence of Sri Lakshmi.
Parinaya, or the slow burn romance, is a philosophy behind love, hidden in the ancient Hindu scriptures, and on the walls of temples. It is the beauty of slow pleasures of companionship between a couple, over the thrill of instant gratification.
This stunning piece of Wearable Art, that carries with it the finest fragrance of Awadhi couture, is designed with the essence of Parinaya. It is a amalgamation of all temple sculptures of romance, and description in scriptures of the love between deity couples, that was endless and celestial.
We re-imagined this concept from the ancient past to the present, and to the land of Awadh.
POSHAAK (About the garment):
Parinaya was created by using a couple as the central theme, sitting under the canopy of an umbrella. The girl is reading, the boy is observing the nature around him. Both are together in comfortable silence, just the warmth of being together, and each other’s company, filling the space between them, and the mango orchard around them in full bloom in the form of a Paisley creeper that runs through the saree, till 2.5 metres of length.
The Parinaya couple are shown on the palla, surrounded by nectarine mango flora around them; like a garden of love & desire.
The embroidery is detailed with rare Resham Chikankari stitches like Jaali (detailed with qasab taar), murri, ghaspatti, ulti bakhiya, and many more. The couple is completely detailed with qasab taar jaali stitch, making this a rarest of rare saree.
The rest of the saree is kept plain for the light Gold Tissue Silk to shine through, and the concept to stand out.
The saree is finished with Chanderi Silk selvedge in deep red.
The blouse with the saree is made in Deep Red colour on Tissue Georgette fabric. It is a 3/4th sleeved structured blouse, with heavy work on the sleeves, and statement motif of the Parinaya couple on the back.
This is a spectacular piece of Heirloom Handcrafted Art, not just a Chikankari Saree!
P.S.: Avoid moisture seeping into such sarees. Always store them in a dry place and in the Meiraas bag we deliver them in. Keep opening Silk Sarees in every 6 months and changing its folds.
