Indian Nui Shibori Stole on Tussar Silk (Pure) fabric.
Please Read:
Indian NUI Shibori is a varied version of the original Japanese Nui Shibori. The Japanese Shibori is done only by hand & generally makes one big pattern on a small swatch of fabric.
In India, this method varies. The patterns in Indian NUI are drawn by hand on papern, and then sewn by sewing machine allover the fabric.
The handmade process involved here is drawing the pattern, tracing on fabric, tying & dyeing post machine embroidery, opening of all tie to reveal final product, finishing treatment (eco friendly).
Note: These days a lot of Digitally made Shibori from India is doing the round of market that looks very intricate in the first look. However on deeper 2nd look, you see that the NUI holes (made from sewing machine embroidery) are barely visible & light cannot pass through them. Therefore please bear in mind that the Indian NUI Shibori will have prominent needle marks in pattern (refer to the last image).

Blue Tea Latte 1Khayal: Moodboard
"Chaap Tilak" from which we have borrowed the words Rang Deenhi is a poem by Ameer Khusrou composed in 14th Century. This poem is the few he composed in Awadhi language. Rang Deenhi (coloured me) is an Awadhi term that denotes absolute surrender in love. The love can be for a person or an energy, but the feeling is of absolute and unconditional surrender to the love. Taking inspiration, we have created original Shibori motifs from Ancient Indian Flower Art palette, a design breakthrough in Indian style of Shibori. The colour palette is kept Soft, Deep, Vibrant to symbolise shades of love.

Rare Hand Embroidery: We have focussed on finding rare & very old motifs belonging to actual Regency Era that were used in Chikankari back then. This is one of those miniature old motifs that otherwise is never visible in Chikankari. When wearing this motif you are wearing a piece of History. Please see our founder's IGTV "The Building Blocks" for more details.
Handloom Kota Doria: A rarity in itself now. We came upon this batch with great difficulty as most of the Kota available now in market is not handwoven.
KHAYAL (moodboard): Bronte's World - Bronte's World refers to the three sisters of Classic English Literature scene - Charlotte, Emily & Anne. The three were less celebrated & underrated authors. Charlotte wrote Jane Eyre and Shirley; Emily wrote the magnetic & solo Wuthering Heights; Anne was further underrated amongst the trio & wrote Agnes Grey and the now iconic The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. While set near about three decades after Austen, Bronte sisters explored a bleaker take of English countryside. The setting is more or less same, but where Austen's World is cheerful & simple, Bronte's World is untamed, bleak & raw with hope for sunshine. Blue & Yellow embroidery thus made perfect sense to symbolise Bronte's World.
POSHAAK (about the dupatta): White Handloom Kota Dupatta embroidered with a 250 plus year old motif in our workshop that did not look inspired by any local flora icon that is commonly used. The two tone embroidery is done in Powder Blue & Butter Yellow.
Imp: Colours may vary a bit, although they are all shot professionally in studio set up & closest colour has been photographed; Any variation can be due to digital medium of photography that is outside our control.
