The motifs here represent the beauty of the “graam” or village of Awadh, just on the outskirts of the historic city of Lucknow.
The “mrig” (deer) following the Kastoori (fragrance) of “Mrignayani” (lady) is a poetry etched in Chikankari. This block was made by the son of our block print master. We were so encouraged to see the young generation’s interest in creating such artful motifs that we adopted this motif as part of Meiraas collection.

POSHAAK (about the dress): The Mrig and Mrignayani are embroidered in this Meiraas Exclusive Kurta made on Handloom Chanderi. The Soft Green shade adds a regal touch to the Kurta.
