Featuring a stunning Mandana (wall art) motif, this saree has Resham Chikankari in White Thread with focus on masterclass Ghaspatti stitch & gentle smattering of Mukaish. POSHAAK (about the saree):
Rajat Lakshmi is a beautiful saree we first made in 2020, and since then have made various versions of this saree on Order.
Hand embroidered painstakingly with Resham 3 Taar Chikankari, on a base of Handloom Zari x Silk, this luxurious drape has an antique border on 3 sides of the saree, along with an unconventional Peacock or Mayur motif on the palla. This divine saree has floral bootis in the body, and is finished with selvedge & gold lace detailing. It is a saree that can be worn for weddings, dining out on special occasions, festivals, ghazal or jazz evenings. These are sarees to be cherished, maintained carefully & pass down to future generations. The drape of the saree is engulfing, easy to carry, fluid and yet regal. This helps the pleats fall beautifully, and yet not make it so heavy that it becomes difficult to carry. These sarees are extremely tough to make, as it needs ambient lighting for the embroidery to be possible, therefore cherish them as very rare pieces of art. Imp: No order of this saree can be taken in Monsoons (July - September).KHYAAL (mood-board):

The gorgeous saree is finished with Gold Gota lace to finish the look.

The idea to make a Jewel toned rare Chikankari saree came to me, as I remembered the rare sarees that used to be part of my mummy's & mausi's wardrobe. Often in a multitude of collection that they had, I occasionally used to spot this one rare gem that stood apart due to its distinct moodboard & yet looked cohesively part of the same craft palette. Those sarees would be worn by me and later by my sisters in our annual school functions as much admired and revered pieces. Back then, I would often wonder who created this one of a kind rare piece that stood out from the rest. Little did I know, that these memories would became a part of my design moodboard much later in life - Vidhi Rastogi, Head of Creative, Meiraas
POSHAAK (about the saree):
A lovely Plum and Sea Green Batik Print saree on Handwoven Chanderi fabric. I loved this one instantly & wanted to pick it up to add Chikankari and create a one of a kind craft fusion piece. The saree is Old World, delightful and easy to dress up & down depending upon the occasion. The motif of Chikankari used is very old and resembles a rather ornate snowflake. This could be a motif inspired by the British era rule & possibly was used to make various embroidered clothes during Christmas. Important: The last image is plain running blouse piece.NO RETURN/EXCHANGE REQUEST WILL BE ENTERTAINED IF YOU REQUEST FOR FALL STITCH.
