Khayal: Mood-board "Chaap Tilak" from which we have borrowed the words Rang Deenhi is a poem by Ameer Khusrou composed in 14th Century. This poem is the few he composed in Awadhi language. Rang Deenhi (coloured me) is an Awadhi term that denotes absolute surrender in love. The love can be for a person or an energy, but the feeling is of absolute and unconditional surrender to the love. Taking inspiration, we have created original Shibori motifs from Ancient Indian Flower Art palette, a design breakthrough in Indian style of Shibori. The colour palette is kept Soft, Deep, Vibrant to symbolise shades of love. Poshaak: About the Dress Pure Soft Cotton adorned with Floral Art motifs, dyed in non toxic Azo Free dyes. This is a Semi Stitched Kurta/Dress with crochet lace detailing. The dress needs no lining. P.S: Please note that while the Size Chart mentions Chikankari Top, this is a Shibori Kurta only. "One of my favourite things to do when on vacation is to walk on rustly leaves that have fallen from the trees. Yellow & Orange leaves forming a soft carpet to lightly tread upon with silence all around, broken only by the mellow sighting of a singing thrush or gurgling of a water body. Kota Silk is dear to me as unlike Doria it rustles more due to Silk yarn. While the sarees are soft and light to drape, they feel distinctly different from Kota Doria. I have dressed my own Kota Silks with polki jewellery always. While i receive compliments on how easily i carry weaves that normally one does not wear to family gatherings, I smile thinking of my walk on the carpet of the freshly fallen foliage. - The Tepchi format of this saree has not been kept uniform, as is the case with most bargain basement embroidery cluster workmanship. We have re-designed the Saree format in the lines of a Pure Georgette look saree, with a variety of motif styles on the Palla, increasing the dexterity involved in the work. This helps the artisans break away from the monotony of uniform one motif sarees, by giving them variety to work upon. The saree also has a unique one side heavy border, a novelty in Chikankari sarees. The motifs picked are complex & rarely worked upon.

The saree boasts of a one side heavier Palla, a rarity in design sensibility in Chikankari, that was inspired by some handwoven sarees of India. This makes the saree a rare masterpiece in Tepchi Chikankari. The saree has been finished with crochet lace & sea shell details. The soft Lemony Yellow hue is soothing to the scorched summer soul, & the Kota is light & airy like a feather. Meiraas presents Aqua Blue Rajnigandha saree on Cotton Silk. This saree has a beautifully embroidered long & heavy palla of Indian Garden Art & the borders of the palla are locked with an unique "bel" (creeper) of Paisley. The saree is embroidered by our regular unit & is yet another example of how we managed to create highly skilled craft from a unit that was accustomed to making rough & unskilled work. When you choose to add this saree to your wardrobe, you contribute towards encouraging skilled & improved craftsmanship for artisans who toiled for over 1 year in creating these wonders.
