KHAYAL (moodboard): Deepmala translates to a “Garland of Diyas” or Earthen lamps, one of the most therapeutic and energising sights of Deepawali festival. There is not one soul who can say that the lit rows of Diyas with their soulful flame does not invoke a sense of calmness, positivity, love and joy. It is one of those moments of joy that is not ephemeral. Do you know why? Because the silent flame of the Diya makes you realise that this is how your Aatman is inside your Body. The realisation brings the relativity & connectivity!! We wanted to capture the glow of Diyas on a Diwali night through a Mukaish creation, and here we did it through DeepMala.

This is paired with the Revival Mukaish Satkhaani Jaali work, a rarest of rare form of craft with just 2 artisans left in the country who can do this.

POSHAAK (about the saree): A stunning Oxblood Red Chanderi Kurta with Deepmala stars of Mukaish on the front panel and sleeves looking like glowing diyas. The back has single star Mukaish allover. This stunning Kurta is fully lined with soft cotton lining to ensure proper comfort.

The Kurta will be further paired with Oxblood Red Swarna Paatra dupatta made with the Revival Mukaish Satkhaani Jaali work. Even current museums don’t have this archival quality handwork, done by just 2 artisans remaining who can practise it.
