KHAYAL (moodboard): Jane Bennett is a character in Pride & Prejudice (1813), a legendary classic by Jane Austen. She is one of the five lovely Bennett sisters, & is another underrated character. She has all the characteristics of a classic heroine – beautiful, calm, composed, gentle, kind with a need to see good in everyone – yet she is more of a non central protagonist in the book. Many readers find Jane very placid & simple, yet I see many character traits in Jane that are tied up better in her dearest & closest sister, Elizabeth. Jane just knows how to keep one trait apart from another. This is why this buttery Organza Dupatta with same motif in three diverse colours of Pink, Yellow & Blue symbolises Jane the best.

POSHAAK (about the garment): Natural White Handloom Organza Dupatta with pure tested Gold & Silver Zari borders, embroidered with delicate Bijli Boota re created by Meiraas from an archived block. This block has 3 master cutwork stitches in one motif – Hool, Jaali & Hathkati along with other with stitches like Phanda, Orma & Shadow. It is a rare masterpiece!
