POSHAAK (About the garment): Ivory Rose is a classic 2 Taar Taagha Chikankari saree with a grand Palla featuring the finest motifs of Chikankari in the most prized stitches of Hand Cut Work, like Jaali, Hool and Bijli, along with the delicate Rice Grain stitch, Murri, amongst many others. It has a beautiful border that is full of Jaali, the extremely dexterous and prized Hand Cut Work in Chikankari, which is akin to crafting a lace by hand, and Murri, creating a beautiful masterpiece border. The body has a lovely Phool Patti motif, detailed very finely, with stitches like Shadow, Hool, Ghaspatti, Murri, Kangan. Handcrafted on an Un-White or Ivory Pure Georgette Silk base, the saree is detailed with precious micro sequins, adding drama to the saree that ushers in the Age of Romanticism. KHAYAAL (Mood-board): The Khayal or Aatmamanthan behind keeping this collection under the name Dhanlakshmi was very clear. We wanted to make a repository of Heirloom Sarees, where we can create colours and palettes that signify the opulence of Sri Lakshmi. Padma Toran, or the Garland of Lotus, is a devotion to Sri Lakshmi. This stunning piece of Wearable Art, that carries with it the finest fragrance of Awadhi couture, has a detailed border of Lotus and its buds running all through the length and width of the saree border. Dancing Peacocks are perched on the palla of the saree, all in obeisance to the Maha Lakshmi. Asymmetrical galaxy and star patterns fill the saree, and its regal and subtly rich colour is an ode to the deity herself. Padma Toran is for the Lakshmi within you. It is a piece de resistance, and one that creates new Heirlooms and Textile Traditions. POSHAAK (About the garment): Padma Toran is a saree meant to cherish and pass on for its sheer body of artistry, both with its unique concept and painstaking melange of three Heritage hand embroideries of Awadh - Resham Chikankari, Qasab Taar Aari and Zardozi, that have come together on this poetry of a saree. The Padma Toran or Lotus border is hand embroidered first with Resham Chikankari in soft golden cream hue on Old Rose base. Each Lotus is hand cut with Qasab Taar Jaali in Gold. Along with this, each Lotus bud is highlighted with Qasab Taar ghaspatti stitch in Silver, making the saree a Sona Rupa (Silver Gold), rarest of rare combination in Chikankari embroidery. The grand Dancing Peacocks on the Palla are also highlighted with Murri stitch in Silver Qasab Taar. After Chikankari artisans, the saree travelled to the Zardozi artisans, where an Ustaad first hand embroidered each motif painstakingly with Gold Qasab Taar in Aari hand embroidery, with minutest attention to detail. After this level of embroidery was completed, the saree was embellished with a lot of precision in Zardozi hand embroidery, with Cutdaana, Pearls, micro sequins, rainbow beads of very premium quality. Each of these embellishments is micro in vision, but glows with a brilliant sheen under lights. The Old Rose hue of the Tissue Georgette saree adds to the regal drama of this scalloped beauty. Swarna Mayur or the Golden Peacock saree is an ode to the regal splendour of our heritage, where peacocks are a ubiquitous motif of divinity & beauty. Pecocks perched & Peacock pair are few of the many motifs of Art that surround this royal iconography. Swarna Mayur has been crafted with this thought in mind. It is a piece de resistance, and one that creates new Heirlooms and Textile Traditions. POSHAAK (About the garment): Three Heritage hand embroideries of Awadh - Resham Chikankari, Qasab Taar Aari and Zardozi, come together on this poetry of a saree, Swarna Mayur. The handspun, handwoven Mulberry Silk saree, is embroidered with two unique Peacock motifs, i.e., Chaand Mayur (the perched Peacock) and Mayur Joda (the miniature Peacock pair). The saree has konia of perched peacock on the palla, while rest of the palla and body has peacock pair embroidered till 2.5 metres of the saree. The peacock pair also runs across one side of the border (pleats), interspersed with floral motifs of Chikankari, all through. Resham chikankari with soft almond & mocha brown shade is done on the creamy natural mulberry silk base. Each peacock motif is highlighted with Qasab Taar Aari embroidery detailing, done very painstakingly. Thereafter, the saree is scattered with high quality micro sequins all over. Cutdana and Pearls add their lustre to this masterpiece of a saree! The blouse fabric is running with floral Chikankari embroidery, along with sequins detailing. The saree reflects light back, making it impossible to work in full light, hence it needs perfect light setting in a room and extremely skilled artisans to make it.
Such fabric requires enormous dexterity and a very fine level of craftsmanship, therefore the number of artisans working on it are just 1-2 only. This means it takes more time than other sarees
Zari Taar Jaali work is extremely difficult to do on this saree; Cutting jaali by hand is a difficult and time consuming process as it is (this is why its artisans are reducing, as they demand better wages for the time and skill, which popular market is unwilling to pay). Cutting a jaali using Zari Taar filament is the toughest level, as the Zari Taar is not visible to the naked eye easily. In this case Zari Taar has been used to cut Jaali on full Zari Silk saree, making it the toughest level. This obviously commands time and best wages for the artisans involved.

Words will fall short in the praise of this exquisite beauty of a saree!! Some of these motifs are centuries old, and some freshly carved looking at centuries old motifs. A rare piece of Art. After successfully venturing into Gold, Silver hues, and Pearl, Firoza, Precious stones like Tourmaline, Agate hues, we wanted to include Gemstone shades. Our lands are blessed with a variety of natural minerals and gemstones that have immense energy stored within them. Formed under the envelope of Bhoodevi's (Earth) womb, they radiate and reflect back her energy and lend them to the wearer. Our Chanderi sarees, adorned with heirloom quality Chikankari, are named after these soft and deeply spiritual stones. Chandramani or Moonstone is a beautiful grey silver hued sometimes clear, sometimes cloudy to opaque looking gemstone. This beautiful Grey rich Chikankari Tussar Silk saree with antique quality embroidery in white Resham, is the perfect connect to that emotion with us, that resonates with carrying forward a revered Textile Tradition. POSHAAK (About the garment): Chandramani, as the name suggests is a soothing Grey Chikankari Tussar Silk saree, that glows radiant like the soft & soothing glow of the Moon. We decided to use White Resham embroidery on this saree, to symbolise Bela and Motiya blossoms under the soft Moon Glow in the festive months. The signature motif used here is a lovely Floral creeper that has stunning Zari Taar Jaali stitch. Rest of the motif is done using Shadow, Ghaspatti, Chanapatti, Keel, Phanda etc. The saree has a detailed border running all through the saree, and the signature motif rests on the palla, as well as one of them also rests on the shoulder, like a brooch. The saree is filled with little Bela blossoms in white. Stars of Mukaish add to the deeply beautiful charm of this saree. It is an unconventional colour for festive and wedding season, and yet one that will stand out gracefully, with a stately charm. Saree is further finished with Kingri gota lace in silver, and we will also provide a 1 metre approx. running blouse piece.

Krishna Lakshmi, signifies the dark night of Amavasya (Krishna Paksha), when the radiance of Sri Lakshmi, visits deserving households, to bring them prosperity and wholesome progress. KrishnaLakshami is a stunning Black Gold Zari Silk Chikankari saree, with Black Resham embroidery, a piece de resistance, and one that creates new Heirlooms and Textile Traditions. POSHAAK (about the saree): The stunning KrishnaLakshami, is embroidered with extremely delicate and prized stitches of Conceptual Chikankari Art work. The palla has a jaw dropping Rhombus motif with most delicate and intricate workmanship ever seen. It is one of a kind motif with 3 D quality artwork done by our unit artisans. Absolutely fine Zari Taar Jaali decorates this motif, which required an exceptionally high skill to make. The Zari Silk saree is embroidered in semi darkness, as it reflects back light; when this is a Black Gold hue, it becomes even more challenging, and here if we add Zari Taar for Jaali stitch, you can gauge the level of craftsmanship and artwork we are talking about. POSHAAK (about the saree): Jambumani or Amethyst saree is a lilac coloured Tussar Silk beauty, embroidered with extremely delicate and prized stitches of Conceptual Chikankari Art work. The palla has our Bijli boota motif put together like a Rangoli or Alpana. Bijli boota is our motif commissioned on an archived centuries old art work. The motif has Zari taar ki jaali amongst other prized stitches. A small Bijli boota accompanies the larger one all through the palla & body of the saree. The border & palla of the saree have an antique 100 year old plus bel boota running all through the saree, that has extremely prized Zari taar jaali & murri stitches!! A masterclass border. But the highlight of this masterpiece is the Bel Boota falling down from the shoulder; delicate and anointed with some of the rarest stitches, this boota is like the rice paste alpana we make outside our homes. The embroidery is done with darker lilac shade, making it stand out, and stars of Mukaish are embroidered lovingly with the embroidery to resemble lit diyas on Deepawali. Saree is further finished with Pure Handwoven Mulberry Silk selvedge in beautiful Berry Pink, providing just the right contrast, and we will also provide a 1 metre approx blouse piece in same fabric and same colour.
