Moonga or colour of the Coral stone; this was one of the most favoured hue of the ladies of Lucknow. Not Red, but Moonga colour, a cross between Pink, Red & Orange. A shade that reflected the light of all three, and yet held its unique charm. Inspired by Moonga jewellery that many of them popularly wore back then, this was a hue that inspired the shade & delicate work of this saree.

Along with its spiritual value, the calming yellow hue of Sandal is known for its subtle yet wholesome beauty. No wonder, this hue brings a calm smile to any face. In Lucknow, Sandali was used colloquially to mean soft & beautiful like Sandal colour.

KHAYAL (Mood-board):Kannauji Gulaab is revered for its sharp yet subtle fragramce of Pink Roses, that was used to make Rose essential oils and perfumes since most ancient times, to this date. The romance associated with sharply pink and extremely fragrant roses of Kannauj, shaped our moodboard.
POSHAAK (About the garment):
This ombre Pink saree, inspired by the deeply fragrant roses of Kannauj, features a stunning floral Bel Boota motif on one koniya of the palla. The rest of the palla has two beautiful miniature floral running through the palla and body of the saree.
The embroidery is white on the base of Ombre Pink, to bring out the delicate stitches like keel, double kangan, ghaspatti, orma, rahet, pechni, phanda, amongst other stitches.
Delicate stars of Mukaish have been placed to enhance the embroidery work of this beautiful saree. It is finished with kingri lace on the palla.

Blush Pearl or Pink Pearl is the inspiration behind this saree. A strand of pearls with Chikankari Kota sarees is what defined the ladies of Lucknow and their summer afternoons & evenings. These strand of pearls were in usual ivories, but sometimes one could also find a beautiful strand of Blush Pink pearl strand and a saree to match! That understated elegant look was the inspiration behind this saree.
