Meiraas Exclusive Chikankari design, Kabootarbaazi, was launched in 2018. We created a variation of that Kurta, with a Kashmiri embroidery inspired neckline in Chikankari, & the statement back with our signature Kabootar & Mehraab.

The Dupatta is our Exclusive Pine Cone Jugnu Mukaish Dupatta, with a very unique Mukaish embroidery, that cannot be found easily in even amongst the premium Chikankari pieces.

Kabootarbaazi (Pigeon flying) is inherent to the culture of Lucknow and Awadh. Whether romanced in Ruskin Bond’s period novella “A Flight of the Pigeons” or appearing aesthetically in Ray’s “Shatranj ke Khiladi”, Pigeons and the skyline of Lucknow is synonymous with each other. Seen here is Kabootar (Pigeon) in the romantic Mehraab (Archways) in the EXCLUSIVE MOTIF created by Meiraas under Falaknuma Collection. The motif of Chikankari is an exclusive design of Meiraas launched in 2018.

POSHAAK (about the dress):

This beautiful Dove Grey Chikankari Kurta has a Kashmiri style heavy neckline of shadow & ghaspatti embroidery in white thread work. A pair of Doves is flying towards the floral yoke, with subtle Mukaish highlights allover.

The back has a statement motif of Kabootar in Mehraab (archway).

The Kurta is accompanied by our Umrao Mukaish Pine Cone Jugnu dupatta, an Exclusive & Rare Mukaish creation, in grey shade to match.
