Now this work is done for select Royalty globally, and Meiraas has got this done for you. - PURE ORGANZA KHAYAAL (moodboard): "The city lies on a plain, encircled by brown desert hills, with fortifications and walls snaking over their contours. The capital itself was the prettiest I had ever seen - an intricacy of domes & towers, lattices and verandahs, with all the buildings coloured a deep Oleander Pink. In the wide well planned streets, the women wore skirts, bodices and shawls instead of sarees, and all the men wore gloriously coloured turbans - Red, Magenta, Daffodil Yellow and an indescribable Pink, that was both pale & piercing." - Excerpt from A Princess Remembers . The Memoirs of the Maharani of Jaipur, by Gayatri Devi The above reference is to Jaipur's own Pink, that is akin to the flower of Kaner. India has so many unique colours, that it can make its own shade chart & inspire a variety of embroideries & art. This was the thought that shaped the Jaipur Pink saree, with lattices embroidered in Jaali Mukaish to pay our homage to the breathtakingly gorgeous city of the Rajputs. POSHAAK (about the saree): Jaipur Pink saree is an ode to Maharani Gayatri Devi's observation of Jaipur City. This soft cloud like Organza Saree is dyed a soft pink to resemble the Jaipur Pink. The saree has Chikankari detailing in the border. Its body has breath taking Kaamdaani embroidery work of Golden Trellis circles, that is heavier on the palla and grows smaller and lighter in the rest of the body. The whole saree is sprinkled with Mukaish daana to add to its regal beauty. We have finished it with Mulberry Silk selvedge in same colour. The saree has a running blouse piece with Mukaish daana embroidery. Storage: Please store safely in the cloth bag we provide. Air it after every few months.

We always wanted to showcase this motif in a Muakish saree in exactly the manner of the original artwork in Amer Fort. The Golden Trellis motif is designed after the round Trellis water reserve covers designed so aesthetically in Amer Fort!! It was a sheer delight to see the level of Indian Art & Aesthetic sense to even design an otherwise drab water reserve tops with such skill. This saree is reminiscent of the Maharanis of India & their Royal Splendour. Khayal (moodboard): When creating this dress, we wanted to delve into the very functional old school tailoring, that is rare to find now. This is a fine Jacket style front open Kurta dress. The style is borrowed from Achkan worn by Nawab Aristocracy in the old days. The design is made more contemporary & has been reimagined for women. The embroidery has minimalist and antique sensibility, with focus given to fine quality craftsmanship. Wooden button detailing add a regal grace to this dress. Poshaak (about the garment): Cover Me In Sunshine is a vibrant bright yellow coloured Achkan Dress, where the front panel is embroidered in a V shape panel (reference taken from early 19th Century archival Chikankari piece). The embroidery is very fine and intricate, done with fine Resham filaments in rare stitches like Murri & Ghaspatti featured very prominently, amongst others. The back features the stunning Nritya Mayur motif, an antique more than 100 year old motif. It has been detailed with hand cutwork stitch, the queen of Chikankari stitches, Kasab Taar Jaali, very extensively, making it a masterclass piece of wearable art. The stitching of this Achkan Kurta was perfected after numerous trials, to enable good coverage and flattering fall to all body types, especially Indian.

POSHAAK (about the product): A kurta that has taken our breath away with the simplicity of its design and yet the skilled artisanal work with rare stitches and lesser filament of Chikankari embroidery threads. The slightly rounded hemline Kurta in Handloom Cotton has a unique design layout of diagonal stripes of a very traditional wall art mandana block. This strip is then embroidered with Orma and Murri, along with Phanda in very fine thread work, extensively. This work has also been done on the sleeves. The back features a geometric floral pattern that pairs well with the unique strip motif on the front, making it a truly rich kurta with fine embroidery. Cheeku Shake is a refereshing summer drink that was made in the homes of Lucknow in the Dopehri of Summers, as a seasonal, refreshing and healthy treat for the entire family!
