This saree is Made on Order only! Nakshatra Black Pure Organza Kaamdaani saree of Meiraas Exclusive work , The Golden Trellis with Circle Diskette & Chaand motif!! A stunning saree that celebrates forces of the Universe. THE SUSTAINABILITY QUOTIENT (TSQ): - Revival of Trellis work in Kamdaani Embroidery : A rarity, Golden Trellis, has been elusive in the repertoire of Kamdaani embroidery for over many centuries. This work of Satkhaani jaali is now done by handful of artisans only for very select collectors of heritage crafts. - Pure Organza Silk KHAYAAL (moodboard): "Summers in 1980s Lucknow meant, the whole family sleeping on the terrace at night. While one reason could be that power cuts were frequent then, another reason was its charm of sleeping under the open sky. Nani's house was a treat for me in this respect, whenever we stayed there. We would sleep under the stars, all cousins and elders around on their own charpais. Papa would take this as a moment to show me stars, planets, moon, the Milky Way, etc etc. It was fascinating & I deeply miss those innocent times. Nakshatra is a product of that reverie. Designing Nakshatra was always a dream, ever since I started working with Mukaish craft. The stars of Mukaish say so much to me than just metallic embellishments. They remind me of shooting stars, sun shining on dewdrops, planets, forces that are beyond our comprehension, and we can only see them as glittering dots, because we are limited in our scope to understand energies. This was the thought with which I explored Nakshatra. The Golden Trellis was the perfect embroidery to try this design intervention. I conceptualised a Celestial Trinity of the Sun, the Moon and the Planet to denote the Nakshatra and set it on a bed of stars in the sky in the form of this beautiful Organza Saree. I wish the patron wears it in an enchanting dinner place, under open clear sky, with millions of stars, a glass of wine and good company at hand and have a soulful time to remember & cherish forever." - Vidhi, Head of Creative, Meiraas POSHAAK (about the saree): This dark black sky of a soft cloudy Organza Saree has the Constellation in the form of - the Sun, the Moon & the Planet in Golden Trellish Kaamdaani embroidery. These motifs are heavily on the palla only, and the rest of the body has stars of Mukaish scattered all over its vast dark expanse. We have finished it with Mulberry Silk selvedge in same colour. The saree has a Mulberry Silk Blouse Piece in running with stars of Muakish. Storage: Please store safely in the cloth bag we provide. Air it after every few months.

We wanted to make a repository of Heirloom Sarees, where we can create colours & palettes that signify the opulence of Sri Lakshmi. After successfully venturing into Gold, Silver hues, and Pearl, Firoza, Precious stones like Tourmaline, Agate hues, we wanted to include Gemstone shades. Our lands are blessed with a variety of natural minerals and gemstones that have immense energy stored within them. Formed under the envelope of Bhoodevi's (Earth) womb, they radiate and reflect back her energy and lend them to the wearer. Our Chanderi sarees, adorned with heirloom quality Chikankari, are named after these soft and deeply spiritual stones. Pukhraaj or Yellow Sapphire is a brilliant yellow coloured clear looking mineral stone. This beautiful Yellow luminous Chikankari Chanderi saree with antique quality embroidery, is the perfect connect to that emotion with us, that resonates with carrying forward a revered Textile Tradition. POSHAAK (about the saree): This bright Yellow luminous expanse of handwoven Chanderi saree is embroidered with some of the most antique motifs; some old, some recreated based on archived old motifs. The saree palla has very antique bel boota on palla & border, made with fine and prized Murri stitch, a rare work of art. It further has a Grand Paisley Guldaan Boota with finest of Murri & Ghaspatti embroidery. Amongst the revered and rare Chikankari stitches, Murri takes precedence as it is very painstaking to create. It has to mimic a Biryani Chawal like fineness and beauty, which is extremely difficult to achieve, especially so in Resham thread. The small floral booti in the palla & body of this saree is 200 plus years old. It is a Murri ki Kairi, a miniature fine art motif, that is made almost completely with fine Murri, making this saree an outstanding piece of Murri artwork The saree is lit up with diyas of Mukaish embroidery placed beautifully amidst the fine thread art. POSHAAK (about the saree): This soft Blush Pink luminous expanse of handwoven Chanderi saree is embroidered with some of the most antique motifs; some old, some recreated based on archived old motifs. The saree palla has very antique bel boota on palla & border, which is centuries old and is a rarely seen design. This fine quality motif has extremely complex work in such a small surface. It further has our Shahi Paan boota, which has been commissioned by Meiraas, basis an archived rare motif. The Shahi Paan boota is on either ends of the Palla, and has our conceptual work where we have filled tiny mango or Paisley motifs inside the Paan motif. The Paisley & Paan are two iconic imageries of Lucknow & Chikankari, and we have brought both together in this conceptual work, making it one of a kind artwork to be revered forever. The small floral booti in the palla & body of this saree is 200 plus years old. It has some extremely complex stitches in this small a surface area - Zari taar ki Jaali, Hool & Murri. One of a kind masterpiece!! There is an additional keel boota that runs in the body of the saree, along with complex floral booti. The saree is lit up with diyas of Mukaish embroidery placed beautifully amidst the fine thread art. Saree is finished with a Satin Silk selvedge in Rani Pink and we will also provide a 1 metre approx blouse piece in same fabric and same colour. Kamal Sarovar was born out of a dream to create a river full of blooming lotuses. Only a complete jaal saree could do proper justice to the thought. We wanted the base of the saree to have a soft pearly glow to represent a water body glistening in the morning sunlight, when the Lotuses have started blooming for the day. Our handwoven Chanderi fabric was the best option. A contrast pastel colour is used to create blossoming Lotuses all through the saree. This saree is a work of wearable art & a visually aesthetic masterpiece!! FROM THE VAULT COLLECTIVE Mihikavan is Heirloom Chikankari 2 Taar Pure Georgette Saree in Almond Beige hue with full jaal floral embroidery. The Palla has breathtaking latticework stitch in rare & old Paisley motif. A rare Heirloom Piece!! KHAYAL (moodboard): Kamadeva (God of Desire) and Basant (Spring) decide to break the tapa of Kaamajeyi Mahadev, and get him attracted to the beauty of Parvati ji. To set this scene of romance, they paint a rugged forest, where the tapa is going on, into a place of beautiful desire, an enchanted forest garden. In an instant, Basant transforms the rugged terrain into a Floral Paradise; his painting is so beautiful that all beings are turned on to create a valley of love, the culmination of this beauty happens when a dormant tree trunk starts sprouting flowers, & a Latika or Creeper of Flowers engulfs the trunk with her grip of love!! The saree is embroidered all over with the Palla having antique Paisley motif replete with Latticework Stitch (jaali) with qasab taar detailing. The full saree is embroidered with very inticate floral motif. Stitches like shadow, ghaspatti, orma, jaali, zanjeera, hool make this stunning saree. Mukaish stars create the much needed Mihika in this Garden created with needles and thread. The embroidery is done with 2 Taar Resham Thread and is extremely rare.   1. Since this is a Made on Order saree, the patron can customise their desired shade. For this drop in an email on namaste@meiraas.com . Once the colour is selected by the patron, and we start the work, no change can be made.
  2. This is very heavily embroidered saree, therefore mostly the length one gets in such sarees is 41-42 inches only. If you want wider saree, then an extra Pure Georgette fabric will be added on top seamlessly.
  3. There is No Return/Refund/Cancellation on Made on Order pieces.

We wanted to make a repository of Heirloom Sarees, where we can create colours & palettes that signify the opulence of Sri Lakshmi. After successfully venturing into Gold, Silver hues, and Pearl, Firoza, Precious stones like Tourmaline, Agate hues, we wanted to include Gemstone shades. Our lands are blessed with a variety of natural minerals and gemstones that have immense energy stored within them. Formed under the envelope of Bhoodevi's (Earth) womb, they radiate and reflect back her energy and lend them to the wearer. Our Chanderi sarees, adorned with heirloom quality Chikankari, are named after these soft and deeply spiritual stones. Shwet Sphatik or White Rhinestone is a clear pearly looking mineral stone. This beautiful White luminous Chikankari Chanderi saree with antique quality embroidery, is the perfect connect to that emotion with us, that resonates with carrying forward a revered Textile Tradition. POSHAAK (about the saree): This white luminous expanse of handwoven Chanderi saree is embroidered with some of the most antique motifs; some old, some recreated based on archived old motifs. The saree palla has very antique bel boota on palla & border, made with fine and prized Murri stitch, a rare work of art. It further has our Shahi Paan boota, which has been commissioned by Meiraas, basis an archived rare motif. This motif is the finest work of art we have created, and is filled with the most complex stitches in Chikankari, including zari taar ki jaali. The palla is further filled with 7 petal lotus with fine ghaspatti stitch. The lotuses continue through the saree. The saree is lit up with diyas of Mukaish embroidery placed beautifully amidst the fine thread art. Saree is finished with Satin Silk selvedge and we will also provide a 1 metre approx blouse piece in same fabric.
