KHAYAL (Mood-board):
Kannauji Gulaab is revered for its sharp yet subtle fragramce of Pink Roses, that was used to make Rose essential oils and perfumes since most ancient times, to this date. The romance associated with sharply pink and extremely fragrant roses of Kannauj, shaped our moodboard.
POSHAAK (About the garment):
This ombre Pink saree, inspired by the deeply fragrant roses of Kannauj, features a stunning floral Bel Boota motif on one koniya of the palla. The rest of the palla has two beautiful miniature floral running through the palla and body of the saree.
The embroidery is white on the base of Ombre Pink, to bring out the delicate stitches like keel, double kangan, ghaspatti, orma, rahet, pechni, phanda, amongst other stitches.
Delicate stars of Mukaish have been placed to enhance the embroidery work of this beautiful saree. It is finished with kingri lace on the palla.

KHAYAL (mood-board):
Swarna is a hue we love! We introduced the fabric of Zari Silk (or Tissue) with Resham Chikankari, back in 2020, with our Dhanlakshmi collection. Since then, this is one of our most revered & loved creations.
Our moodboard was inspired by the ancient Indian sculptures that showcased very intricate & deep work on rich fabrics. We wanted to explore this unexplored dimension with Chikankari work, and it turned out ethereal!!
POSHAAK (about the dress):
The Swarna Ambi dupatta has beautiful Gold Ambi motifs on two sides of the daaman diagonally. The workmanship in the Ambi motif is exquisite with many rare stitches, including qasab taar ki jaali. The rest of the dupatta is embroidered with a very intricate miniature diskette shaped floral motif, which is further highlighted by Mukaish embroidery. The delicate, yet rich dupatta is made on Tissue Georgette fabric allowing a light weight & flattering drape. Please see the full dupatta images by scrolling till the end.
This dupatta is very good to take stand alone as a statement wrap on neutral shade kurtas, or you can pair it with Swarna Kurta in Swarna EnsembleÂ

KHAYAL (moodboard): Orange Biskoot or Biscuit reminds me of a bakery in Lucknow (confused whether Good Bakery or Burma Bakery), that made these subtle orange flavoured nankhatai sort of biscuits. The colour had a hint of orange, and they tasted very subtly of the orange flavour, like just about. They were my favourites back then.
Gradually either they stopped being made, or newer bakeries came up with truffles and what not, we did grow apart; yet the memory lingers - Vidhi Rastogi, Head of Creative, Meiraas
POSHAAK (about the dress): Beautiful peach coloured Kurta Fabric in Pure Jacquard Cotton anointed with embroidery just a shade darker. The Chikankari motif used here is a heritage one, and rarely seen. The back has a single motif of Phool with the precious Sunehre Kasab ki taar jaali. The sleeves also have the back motif one each on either sleeve. Rest of the Kurta is plain, so that both self pattern fabric & Chikankari on it can neatly shine through.
The Chikankari is Resham and will be 3 taar.
This kurta fabric is a good way to wear heritage motifs in classical Awadhi style, and most importantly for everyday wear, not just occasion wear.

This saree has a beautifully embroidered long & heavy palla of Indian Garden Art & the borders of the palla are locked with an unique "bel" (creeper) of Paisley.
The saree is embroidered by our regular unit & is yet another example of how we managed to create highly skilled craft from a unit that was accustomed to making rough & unskilled work.
When you choose to add this saree to your wardrobe, you contribute towards encouraging skilled & improved craftsmanship for artisans who toiled for over 1 year in creating these wonders.

Lucknow - a city of Gold & Silver!! In Kenize Mourad's historical part history part fiction "In the City of Gold & Silver", Lucknow amongst Awadh is detailed as a land of Gold & Silver symbiotic. It is a symbolism for the syncretic culture of Awadh, where two ideologies or thoughts had a place to survive together. It also symbolises the rich court of Awadh dynasty, where the aristocracy spent its days in the riches that the fertile Indo Gangetic plains yielded, and immersed themselves in Art, Culture, Music, Poetry. The book had a profound effect on us to create two such weaves - Gold Zari Silk & Silver Zari Silk. A symbol of the now lost Awadh.
POSHAAK (about the saree):
Gold Zari Silk Dupatta is a unique weave commissioned by Meiraas. Pure Zari in Taana, Pure Zari in Baana & little bit of Pure Silk to bind this Work of Art together. The Rich Weave has been then adorned with Resham Chikankari in Heritage motifs. This is a first time such a dupatta has ever been made in Chikankari, & likely this status will remain for a long time. The richness of the weave & Embroidery will be more enhanced when the dupatta is in the hands of the patron, it is like wearing a sheet of Molten Gold. The dupatta has vintage CROWN motif that dates back almost 2 centuries & was literally dug out from the rubble like a relic of archeology. - Handloom Cotton fabric
- Minimalist pattern of dress makes the heritage motifs more usable, as they are intricate and delicate and cannot be used in current work style of fast and rough work.

Resplendent & Graceful!! This saree is Pure Joy to wear & also behold. This Handloom Chanderi saree has Gold Zari running all through the saree with Kadhua Boota on the palla. It is adorned with Fine Chikankari of Flower Vases & Fruit bowl motifs that are more than 200 years old & were possibly used for Block Prints, an alternate craft that would have existed in Lucknow, and now is no more in existence. The regal saree has rice shade floral motifs done in Ghaspatti & Murri on the top part & the Palla & Pleats have the dual Heritage Motifs. The gorgeous saree is finished with Gold Gota lace to finish the look.
